Japan's exports in February have fallen for three consecutive months, and external demand is declining due to the China-US trade conflict, affecting the economy.

According to the Ministry of Finance on Monday, the value of exports in February is down 1.2 percent from a year earlier, and a decline of over 0.9 percent is expected in a poll by Reuters economists. It fell by 8.4% in January and decreased for semiconductor manufacturing equipment and automobiles, resulting in a fall for three consecutive months.

Trade data is a recent weak indicator, such as an important measure of plant production and capital investment that is causing concern about the end of the postwar period of record growth. Some analysts say that the recession cannot be ruled out.

However, as the inflation rate is well below the target of 2% and the pressure from firms and consumers is rising, the weakness of exports is expanding, and greater easing is required.

Slowing global growth, trade wars between China and the United States, and the complexity of the EU's withdrawal from the UK have forced policymakers to slow the pace of global expansion in recent months. The US-China Trade War, Japan's largest export market, has already slowed world trade.
